Nope... unless, maybe, you had some kind of specially designed pit into which to drop the engine (then some way of getting the engine out of the pit to work on it). Some have removed the fuel tank to get to the timing belts, but I believe it's impossible to change certain components and do proper timing checks on the car that way. Removing the engine is a great way to check for things that are missed on yearly checks before they develop into something larger. If you can find an independent Ferrari expert in your area, it should work out a lot cheaper than going to a Ferrari dealer. My local independent quoted me U$3000 for basic labour (I bought most of the parts, oils, etc myself after shopping around for the cheapest prices). If you have a record of what's been done to the car previously, you can figure out what might be required, like tensioner bearings. I would suggest going to the F355 forum for more detailed information.
