    The most recent Purflux oil filter # is 197654 and the old # was 130623. Why did they make the change? Is there any difference between the two?

    Your old number, 130623 is actually two generations old. There was an intermediary 191462, then leading to 197654. I think the changes were in the standpipe and the gasket rounding at the bottom of the filter. Throw your old one into the garbage pail, and don't use it.
