I just finished doing my 50K service, waiting for more than a month for both parts and the mechanical work. After starting the car, I found out that there was a slight oil leakage coming from the short rubber hose leading to the oil tank. Ricambi America were kind enough to provide me with the attached diagram below, and I found out that it costs $620 to replace the hose, and I have to order it from the U.S. which means I have to wait for at least one more week. Can anyone help me out with the hose specifications, since I'm trying to find a replacement hose with same standard? Is there a special feature about this $620 hose?

Other than the fact that it's a Ferrari part, I'd say the connectors look pretty tricky.

Can't see that you could fashion a replacement and you certainly would not want to have this part burst on you after the $ that went into your service.

The additional weeks wait is a bummer, but you are probably best off to do so to make sure you have the correct item.

When an oil pipe went on my 328, i had my local hydrolic pipe shop make me one. It was a fraction of the ferrari parts cost. Take the old pipe into them and see if they can do anything.

Yes a good hydraulic hose shop can remove your old factory fittings and install new hose on it. I've done it several times on my p-cars. Just make sure they know the specifications of use, ie. heat range, fluid type, fexibility etc. They may charge a bit but it will be alot less than $600 ;) :)
