Okay, I just finished installing xenon lights (bulbs + ballasts) into my '99 355. The yellow tone parking lights look a little weird on it, so I ordered those white LED bulbs to see if they'd look better. I put those LED bulbs in, but they have too much of a blue tint for me, so I took them back out.

Anyone know of a good bulb I can use for the parking lights that don't look as yellow?

Anyways, here are my notes on the LED bulb experience for a 355 for the parking lights. Also some part #s from AMP for the plugs that plug into the plastic pieces for the

After taking delivery, I went out to the car to try them out. No workie. Weird. I could believe one failure, but not two. Anyways, after some tinkering I realized they're reverse polarity from the bulbs I have in the car. I tested this by finding an unused 12VDC wall wart and snipping the cables and testing the bulbs.

To make this installation work on a 355, you have to reverse the two contacts from the wiring harness plug that goes into the plastic piece that holds the bulb. And I'll attach the PDFs I found on those plugs and the contacts.

This may sound easy, but those contacts are stuck in the wiring harness plug pretty good. I managed to get them out with brute force resulting in some stab wounds on my left hand (maybe someone here knows a trick to coax those contacts out more easily). Once you get the contacts out, you reverse them and put them back in the plug. Voila! Now you should be able to use the reverse polarity LED bulbs.

Anyways, if you actually need replacements because you damaged those plugs, here are the part #s from AMP for the plug on the wiring harness and those metal contacts. I've also attached the PDFs for the specific parts. You can sometimes order samples from their website on http://www.tycoelectronics.com or you'll have to hunt down a distributor to order some.
