    I just noticed on other people's pedals in the 355 that the "plate" to the right of the gas pedal that is stuck on the carpet is made out of metal. Mine is made out of plastic just like the dead pedal. What is this plate called and where can I buy one out of metal?

    if it's white, then that's just the film that you have to peel off to reveal the silver metal color.

    yes thank you, I just figured that out! You would have thought that after 8 years someone would have peeled off the plastic film (black in my case) on it!
