I went to lock the car with my immobilize the other day and nothing happened other than I got 4 "chirps" sounding back which is usually the sound you get is something is open (Hood, door, etc.). I check everything and all was closed properly. Back in the car I tried to lock the doors with the switch and nothing happens.

Everything was working fine before and I have done nothing to the car to alter anything. Any suggestions before I start having to tear into things? I haven't check the fuses yet which will be the first step but Just wondering if this is a common problem with another cause other than a fuse?

Peter this happened to me just before I left canada with car to come down to california. What i found out after trying the switches inside as well was that, my passenger door was not quite closed all the way. Once the door was closed all the way everything worked as it should.

By not being closed all the way I mean it was not obvious I had to really look closely.

How I noticed is the garage light timed out and when the lights went out I noticed the red light coming from inside the door and I wondered why that would be on even though the door was closed. Well guess what the door was not closed. Once the door was closed light went out.

Look for broken or detached wires in the harnees where it passes from the body to the door . Turn the connector , unplug it , and pull the rubber boot back and look for detached wires .Happened to mine . Plucked out the pin , redid the crimp , reinserted the pin in the plug , and all better
