    The passanger power seat is not working. I can hear the solenoid clicking but no movement. I can reach the front two bolts but the seat is so far back I cannot access the rear two rail bolts. Any suggestions?

    Is this a spider? Might be the seat potentiometer on the front of the motor.

    Thanks, is there a procedure for moving being able to move the seat to remove the seat and access the motor? There is not even room for a hand under there.

    I'm having the problem with my 355 spider seat. Look under the front of the seat, there should be two electrical plugs... remove the WHITE plug which is for the seat potentiometer (the black plug is for power).

    Sometimes I have to toggle the power top button back and forth slightly before the seat starts moving again. If the seat doesn't move still, you may have to reset the powertop/seat ECU by turning the battery cutoff switch, waiting a few minutes, and then engaging the battery again.

    I had this problem with my Spider as well. I was able to pull the seat motor wires up between the seat cushion pieces. Between the front edge of the center seat bottom cushion and the far front seat cushion, there is an opening. At least on my seats there is an opening. I removed the two front screws from the seat rails so that I could get my hand under the seat, then I stuck my other hand through the seat bottom and unplugged the motor. Then I pulled the motor plug up through the seat and connected 12V to it. If it moves the wrong direction, switch polarity. If it doesn't move at all, then the motor may be bad.

    Thanks for the responses. No luck with either one. Do not have access through seat cushion.

    More suggestoins please.

    You might be able to reach the motor wires and disconnect them if you remove the front two bolts holding the seat and pull up on the front of the seat. I would recommend removing your other seat to use it as an example of which wires to disconnect and how the connector works since you will have to go by feel. I was able to put a wood block under my seat after removing the front two screws and get about three inches of space to get my hand under the seat. Then I built some connecting wires with alligator clips from Radio Shack and connected 12V to the motor wires to move the seat forward. It certainly helped having access through the cushion as well, but I think it could have been done with only under the seat access and a bit of patience.
