355 Price - Needs Major

mid 40's a great price on a gts. unless it's a really odd color like verde

 

I'm just about positive it is. Mid 40's with low miles is an excellent price.

When I was searching for my GTS this time last year even ones that needed a major were still -asking- 55-65k.

I think if you could pick one up for mid 40's it would be a steal.

 

GTS hols their value much better than the others. I dont think Ive ever seen a solid example as low as mid 40s....so if its solid and you can get it there i would snatch it up.

More typically they are mid 50s to mid 60s

What year? Are you "thinking" mid 40s, or is that the price?

I doubt you can get a good one for that. Mines not going anywhere for less than $75k.

 

Man, this economy is killing ... a 355GTS with 16K in the middle 40's ? Wow! I paid more for my 348 just 2 years ago ...

 

value all depends on the point of view eh? I would NEVER let my car go at $45k, even though there's lots of low ballin' tire kickers swarming at that price point. Gauging the market and my car's condition / maintenance I'd let it go for $60k maybe. Maybe it wouldn't sell quick or at all, but I'm not in a rush. Mid $40's for a PERFECTLY maintained GTS is a dream for the buyer, jump on that if you find a distressed seller. But keep in mind...IF a seller is looking to sell quick to raise $, do you think it was well maintained? Only records and a PPI will tell....

Hmmm, 1st of all WELCOME RSAMERICA1 to Fchat, 2nd please don't listen to Edward's advice as I don't believe this to be sarcasm, and lastly it is safe to mention it in the way you did to keep the snipers away.

Fchat can be a very important tool to you RSAMERICA1 in finding a well sorted jewel, parts and service sourcing, getting advice (especially on being a stooge (what we call a do-it-yourself-guy), and just good o'le friendships. I encourage you to become a subscribed member as you get access to private chats people like Edward cannot access.

And as for you Edward, IF you are reading along as I bet you are, a new member quite possibly takes everything in the literal sense meaning even if you were joshing around, you send a bad first impression to a person who has only posted a thread once and a response to it once. Talk about sending out a bad first impression of Fchat, and poor judgment on your behalf. If it's such a terrible place, perhaps you should find something better to do with your time
