It seems as though prices on 355s seem to be holding or even edging up a little over the past 2-3 months. I've noticed this regardless of the magazine or website. Maybe I'm imagining things, but has anyone else noticed this as well?

probably normal fluctuations due to seasonality- it's the spring and demand/price would be greater in April than in December. I notice this with Porsches as well. Also, while it's interesting to watch asking prices (I like to watch them), who knows what the actual selling price is.

I see some cars for sale literally for months going into a year- even if the seller got $4-5K more by holding out for their price, they probably had all those months of insurance to pay for, lost interest they could have earned on $80-90K, and possibly even had to do another service or at least oil change. A couple of cars come to my mind- a beautiful blue 355 spider that a fellow f-chatter is selling that I've seen in Hemmings and ebay for quite some time (appears to have finally sold with the latest auction), and another blue car that hunting ridge motors has had on the market for what seems like at least a year, with hideous red interior/dash/steering wheel.

My thought as well. The real test will be over the next few years as the avalanche of 360s trickles down to the five-figure range.

What about the additional months that the owner had to enjoy the car? Maybe, eh hem, the guys wife is pressuring him to sell the car and he's knowingly putting a higher price out there to ensure that the car doesn't change hands. My car has been for sale on or off since about a year after I bought it. Asking price? [Dr. Evil finger trick] One million dollars! :)

    To each their own.

I don't see 355 prices going down much more, ever...........

With 328s climbing, they will keep the market up.

What was total production on the F355, more than 10,000 vehicles? I wouldn't expect them to appreciate significantly if at all, there is nothing particularly special about the car. I think prices will continue to drop over the next couple of years.

The next model change will really plummet the prices of the 355's. There is a ready and willing wallet for every price range.

    From Ferrari:

"We would like to inform you that we do not possess exact figures for the number of 355 F1 Spider Red with Black interior vehicles produced, but the indicative number is approximately 200. The total production number for the 355 F1 Spider was around 1000."

And it's becoming less and less each day with attrition. I think some owners would be unwise to sell for any less. I never would............

I thought seasonality may have had something to do with it, but the prices seemed to have 'strengthened' more than I've noticed in the past. I agree it will be interesting to see what happens to the 355 with 360 prices going to 5-digits and 308/328 prices creeping up. What will be very interesting is to track the price gap between 328s and 348s.
