We wont sell to you.......... ;)

I think 355 prices are to low when you consider what 328s are going for or 360s, for that matter.....

With inflation, rise in lower vehicles, I'd be surprised if they go any lower ever....

For some of the 355 prices I have seen, you could almost get a 360. I would hold on to what you have and save up a bit more for the 360. It's not much more of a stretch.

    Not a bad idea.......

Most owners that have 355s would not trade them for a 360.

I must agree with MDshore..... go straight to a 360. The difference between 348 and 355 is basically refinement + BHP. I imagine you'd end up disappointed given the extra $$$. Stretch that little bit further and the 360 is different enough from a 348 to be a totally different car.

Anyone ever noticed how Ferrari V8 models tend to go in 2 model jumps? One model to the next is either a big jump in performance on the same basic car, or similar performance (sort of) but a whole new car.

    e.g. 328 = 270 hp. 348=300 but entirely new car.
355=refined 348 but heaps more HP.
360 is entirely new car, but only a few extra hp.
430=refined 360 with heaps more HP

Obviously an over generalisation, but there does seem to be a trend there....

I'd actually disagree. Unless money is no object (and you like the subjective styling of the 360) there is still about a $30K difference between a good 1995 355B and a 1999 360 coupe. A well-serviced, documented 355B should be priced around $70K. An equivalent 1999 360 is around $100K - $110K. The only 360's that I've seen break $100K are the high-mileage / abused ones. If there are great deals that abound for well-maintained, well-documented 360's, please let me know.

I'm actually surprised how far 355 prices have fallen, with MY97 / MY98's trading today at levels where I bought my MY95 two years ago.

No contest that the 360 is a more technologically advanced car than the 355, by leaps and bounds. But if you're not ready to spend the $'s on a 360 just yet, I've never seen a better 355 buyers market. Almost wants to make me jump in again... - :-D

John, moved your thread to this forum, where it is better suited.

Good luck with your search. The 355 is a phenomenal car.

Well I'm hoping the 1999 355 spiders keep the prices up there ,unless the 360 spiders come down to below $140K.

By the way, i have not seen any 1999 360 priced below $120k in N.California.
