I know that the word is that radio reception may be bad on the 355 but mine worked fine until now. The dealer just replaced my windshield (due to them cracking it during a recent service) and now I receive no AM and FM fades in and out. This is noticeably different from the reception that I had prior to the new windshield. Could they have forgot to re-connect something? Could there be a problem with the antenna built into the new windshield? Does the same windshield antenna work for both Am & FM?

I'd like to go back to them with some plausible explanations for them to check rather than having them simply tell me that the 355 is known for bad radio reception. I have the factory Sony unit which otherwise seems to be working fine.

    Thanks for you help

The same thing happened to me when I had the dealer replace the windshield. They forgot to connect the antenna.

It could be an aftermarket windshield. If the dealer installed it, it is probably a factory Ferrari windshield. Check to see if there is a fine wire running through the glass. If it is a factory windshield you would just need to connect the antenna behind the right air vent. Let us know.

The plug is behind the right vent. Remove it and see if they plugged it in.

I'll check the plug today. If it is that simple, it's not worth the drive back to have them do it.

My installer made the connection after the windshield was installed. It is indeed right behind the right vent. Should be a 5 minute job to get your reception up and running again.

OK. I am assuming that the black box is an antenna amp. From the windshield there appears to be 2 leads. On has about 4" of slack and the other about 6". (Photo below with 4" lead loose and 6" connected)The amp has only 1 input connection. The 4" lead was plugged in while the 6" was loose. I removed the 4" and plugged in the 6" and now I seem to have better FM reception (at least in my garage anyway) but still no AM. There is absolutely no AM what so ever at all. The "seek" on the radio is not able to find any kind of signal.

(Photo below with 4" lead loose and 6" connected)

Anyone have any idea why there would be 2 leads from the windshield antenna but only one slot to plug it into? Any thoughts on no AM?
