    Hello guys. I have a persistent clunk/bang in the rear R/h side of my 355 GTS. When you are driving and you go over a bump in the road. Is there suspension bush's that are known to fail or give trouble. I have replaced both engine and gearbox mounts. It's quite a harsh noise.Thanks in advance

    Paul incan think of a lot of things if the noise is fairly loud but they are all obvious. Jack up the rear side thats affected take off the rear wheel and the airbox and inner fender. Wont take long and then you can start pulling on things to see whats loose.

    Muffler bracket that side, oil tank, shock or any related parts etc etc. The louder the noise the more obvious the problem i would think. Good luck and keep us posted.

    i was suspicious about the oil tank but it seems pretty solid. Good idea to pull a few things off. Must admit though its a pretty loud clunk/bang something is obviously loose

    Have a look at your sway bar drop links.. These can rattle like crazy and sound bad when worn.

    Well get in there and look at all the parts that move.

    Make sure all the bolts are where they should be as well.

    Just did all rear bushings on my car and it fixed the clunk when going over bumps. Rides like new!

    What year is your car?

    My 512tr was doing this and it drove me crazy. I found that the air intake tubes from above the radiator were banging. I think the 95 and challenge cars have the same set up as the 512tr. Check the mounting points of these fiberglass intake tunes.
