http://drive.com.au/used_cars/ferrari/f355/sydney/detail.aspx?id=2122482&pg=3&pp=8&d=0&nv=1 How low can they go?
well when you compare them to prices in Europe they are still very expensive! However the more they drop the better - means less time before I can afford one
That one is at Galleria Veloce. It was in Unique Cars for 170k. One has to assume it is not an Australian delivered car. Some interesting tit-bits: 1) Rego in Unique Cars listed as ATH 442, on Drive it is clearly ATH 44Z 2) Year of manufacture listed in Unique Cars as 1994, on Drive it is 1995! Hmm.... but hey, its a 355 at a 348 price! Wonder what they paid at trade prices for it! 140? Its got to be a HK/UK(or wherever) personal import.
Im with you on this one! But economies of scale.. yada yada yada.. then there is the Taxes, LCT... Bring the price down! 348s are fast approaching the 140s, just wait until the 430s start hitting the streets in numbers, price pressure on the 360s, then 355s, then 348s! Bring it on!
keh? You guys obviously don't own these cars. 348s $100k 355s $150k 360s $250k 550s $235k all you are quoting is the ask price. Walk up to a 348 seller with $100k cold hard cash and if the car's been one the market for 3-6 months (like most) he'll take it... but hey, keep talking up the ask price and it helps those that own them
just realised why this car is so cheap...look at the fuel type, it says electric!!! it's a replica and runs on Eveready!!
as an individual no, but as part of the mislead masses... Four years ago I paid less for the 348CH buying from the local dealer than what most of the hopefuls are asking for their std 348s privately today. Mind you, I paid about 30% more for my first F car than what I should've, as I was one of the mislead masses back then
So you learnt from your mistake - since its all talk for me at the moment hopefully by the time it comes to buy a Ferrari I will be wiser and get myself a bargain
does it really matter if it is an import, they all come out of Italy and are made in the same factory, and if it doesn't have local history is the punter looking at going down the street gonna say "hey that's a ferrari import" like aren't they all imports!
can't verify anything about an import... was it written off, high mileage, burnt out, stolen etc who knows until the diff bearings let go on your 'like new' 4,000 km, near 20 year old 328 that has a perfect documented service history (and naturally I believe the hong kong dude only averaged a few hundred kilometres a year yet got it serviced every six months, yeah right) as a gross generalisation, imports of locally available models are bought by people that can't really afford the car and then definitely can't afford the maintenance.
For comparison: '95 355 Berlinetta with 36,000km for sale in Perth is 'asking' $195k So nearly identical specs (except colour) and its ~40K more http://www.drive.com.au/used_cars/ferrari/f355/perth/detail.aspx?id=2131508&pg=1&pp=1&d=0&nv=1 Its been advertised for at least 1 month now - do you think I'd get it if I walked in with $160K?
well okay, if we plan this right then we'll have a decent getaway car at least. i've been practicing my filming, but i can't drive for ****...
you should be able to organise some V10 or V12 (mhh or goober) power for us - more than enough to get away from the cops I will take care of the driving - can't be that hard
of course not, i think Bonnie and Clyde did this, was pretty cool, i forget how it ended but i think they fared reasonably well......
new regulations, when you send these cars to vicroads for registration, they'll send straight to the crasher. i heard a few unfortunate ferraris already been there
Yes - because its not mandatory RED (apologies also to Lleyton with his black 360 Spider). And it has an "immacable" service history (refer to ad)!!!
Since when as ask == get? The lower the ask == lower the get! Obviously if the ask price drops then the end sale price will also. Just because there are the one-off bargains (or sh1tters) does not represent the "market value" of the model. I guess the average paid for 348s is between 135-140k, which would sit well with your "red mist" theory and not with your 100k theory.
If anyone pays $135k for a F348 today they are an idiot or naive. Based on actual sell pricing Red Book provides... 1990 FERRARI 348 Targa ts 2dr Man 5sp 3.4i (Nov onwards) Trade in price guide* $83,100 - $92,900 National average price - private sale* $92,000 - $110K 1994 FERRARI 348 Coupe tb 2dr Man 5sp 3.4i Trade in price guide* $95,300 - $106K National average price - private sale* $105K - $123K But hey, if you want, I'll go buy a great 348 for $100k and sell it to you for $140k - waddayareckon? Get your cheque book ready, I'll have a car in a week or two.
