Once you lose the red remote are you screwed or can you buy another red remote and program it as a red remote? Also when the 355 was new, I know that the black key fobs had two keys, on each, one for ignition and the other for everything else, did the red rob have these keys too?
Try a search brother. It will answer all your questions, this topic has been covered in depth and has a resolution to your problem. I believe 285Ferrari can assist you with programing remotes(knows of a guy who can do the work?) but I may be wrong.
you're only partially screwed. There's a guy in France who can clone a new black fob from a black fob, but I think there were some issues with reprogrammed ones not working every time (maybe ok after learning, check the original thread). Good news is Ferrari lowered the price on a whole new key fob setup (alarm ECU and new fobs). Again going from memory, I think it was over $2k but now is in the $700 range. If I ever lose my one black fob I'd likely just replace the whole thing and be done with it. Shame the fobs don't follow the cars when sold...
Send eric355 a message, he can clone a black from a black--he did mine over a year ago and never had any problems...
The 700 was for the whole alarm ECU which includes all three key fobs. With this little box you can disable the alarm and engine disabler of any 355. I thought it was worth the 700 to have a spare.
Jay- If you know your PIN number, you only need three new fobs and the new PIN code with which they come. See if this helps. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not to ruin the fun, but is this a theoretical question, or do you actually have a car this time? Peter
