Has anyone had a similar situation? The roof light in my 355 does always shut off when I close the door. When it does shut off, it sometimes comes back on if I go over a "big enough" bump on the road. Although I am fairly certain that I need to replace the door switches (P/N 134423), it seems strange to me that I can't shut off the roof light using the switch located on the center console. Any suggestions? Although an easy fix would be to take the bulbs out, I really would prefer to have the car working perfectly.
    Thanks,
    Manuel

Digging back on my 355 Spyder days. I believe you can move the light in 3 different positions - 1 1.) On (all the time) 2.) when the door is open the light is on and 3.) Off all the time

If I remember the light itself is on a kindof a rotational type switch.

Take the light/housing out and check the connections first - see if this is what is throwing the light on - even though the door is shut (ie. hitting a bump). I would guess it is the light contact not the door switch.

If all contacts are good - it could be the door switch as you indicated.

I had the problem where I could not get the light on at all - any time. I replaced the bulb - thinking it was a bad bulb. It still didn't work - however after closer inspection it was a bad contact in the light housing itself (actually just hanging up there not connected.)

Something to look at - which is very easy...
