I just purchased the new 1mm metal scuderia fender shields for my 355 spider. I would like for someone that has a 355 with the factory shields (Indentions that are made into the fenders) to give me the measurements on exactly where the factory ones are installed. If you are looking at the driver side fender, please tell me how far down the top of the shield is located from the ridge that runs across the top of the fender. Then I would like the measurement from the right side of the shield to the edge of the fender where the door meets. Thank you in advance for your help!!!!

I had my shields placed by the dealer on my 97 355. You may want my measurements because taking from the factory the pressed indention might through your measurements off. Also, what is the measurements top-bottom and side to side of your shield to make sure the size matches mine.

    Greg,
My shields were 110mm X 80mm. These are suppose to be identical to oem shields. That is a good point, I'm sure the size will make a difference.

    Greg,

Your shield is exactly the same size as the one of the OEM shield. It is 110mm X 80mm. You can also go to our website www.yomagic.com to get the measurements for the placement.

Thanks Greg. Are these the exact factory measurements for the originals?

Question for anyone, did 95' 355's have the option for the real scuderia shields from the factory? (you know, the ones set in the indent made from the factory)

I understand that someone makes carbon fenders with the indention already on them (does anyone know who??). I would not mind buying a set so I can always go back to stock :).

When they dryed the next day i put on the badges that i bought from ebay and lacquer over them. Jobs a good un with out any problems in the two years that i did them:D f cuk paying some bloke £500 for a exchange set. WTFs that about:D

That's what I heard too. Factory began them as an option in '98. Nothing before that was factory installed (unless your a vintage race car...)

Just a side note on Dave's post on the '98-'99 fender(wing for our Brit friends)it will fit on 348s and earlier 355s mounting pionts must be the same. If anyone wants the indent fenders to retro fit the badges to earlier cars. regards, vern

Why does your car look so low to the ground? The front looks like it is rubbing on the ground.

Clearly because its parked on a steep drive and the front wheel is on a sunken man hole cover.

I believe it is a bit off the bottom point of the shield should be pointing directly into the middle of the side marker.
