    The drivers seat seems to be unable to hold itself in the upright "clicked" position on the left side so is flexing backwards on sitting, I can't fathom if its something simple or not.

    Any ideas?

    probably dirt, grime, frayed carpeting, or some other contrivance that is preventing the latch from catching.

    It is not simple. You have to remove the seat, disassemble the seat back, and tighten up a bunch of little bolts that are very hard to get to. Minimum 2 hours per seat.
