Along the thigh bolster, you can go tube style like the F40 or french stitch style like the 355. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the stitching insight Ken. As for pricing. I have 2 quotes from 2 reputable groups in the UK (rec'd by Ken), who both have relationships with Connolly who are able to source the period correct Autolux (samples on the way). Inclusive of the F40 buckets, all seat foams, complete retrim, etc. it's closer to the $17k-$20k range
I almost forgot to mention and it is equally as important… get the exact Ferrari stitching (color, thread size, etc) used as it is a very specific color. Ferrari should have a code or source for the tan stitch.
For example, the color code for red stitching is “0504.” I don’t know what it is for tan. Hopefully they know and can get the right exact one Ferrari used. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Feeling a lil bold? There’s always red contrast stitching on tan . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the conversation with both groups about the red stitching but decided to pass for a few reasons. First is that I would want the stitching to match the Barchetta paint as closely as possible and that was difficult to do. Secondly, it would bother me if the contrast stitching was only on the seats and no where else on the interior. To me that would look incomplete and would drive my OCD crazy. Going to stick with the tan stitching
I can't see that being the case considering my two recent quotes. I'm sure you can find someone to do it cheaper than what I found but $10k seems highly unlikely based on my recent months long conversations with multiple groups sourcing reproduction seats. $10k seems like a price from older quotes. Assuming nomex = repro seats
