Looking for tips how to get the 355 Manual shift linkage working better. I know theres the Hill shift gate which I will get to but is there a proven procedure for adjusting the linkage for best results.

I did a search but did not find anything, most likely user error on my part

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated

    :)

If the shifter goes into each gear with no problem, you should not touch it, I should say there is nothing wrong with the linkage. If you have gaps in the E gears and the shifter does not go where its suppose to, adjust it from the bottom under the big fiberglass cover. ITs a two man job but one person cam do it also you just have to do lot of standing up and laying down. You can drive it down and I will help you out.

Thanks sevminasyan, I may take you up one day on it :)

It shifts OK but I want to get my fat fingers in there to see if it can be better. I know these girls are not the best shifters, maybe something can help them

My Mondial t is slipping out of 1st, but is perfect in all the other gears. Could the linkage need adjustment ? and if so, where do you adjust it? Thanks, Jim

The T is very different from the 355 and does need adjustment at times due to the use of the same cable connection as the 348.
its a rather trial and error job best done on a ramp with one in car and another adjusting. tricky bit i seem to remember is adjusting think sorted, put back together road test find still wrong and start again....
