anyone know who rebuilds the rear shocks on a 355 spider? mine are both oozing fluid from the tops, and the suspension light came on the other day. Please help.

    Yes, I do. www.deltavee.net

$231.67 each to rebuild your F355 shocks. They will dampen like new.

The suspension light may or may not be related to the leaking shocks. The electronic part of the system only monitors the sensors (accelerometer, wheel speed, etc.) and actuators (motors on top of each shock). The suspension error light will require reset via SDI at the dealer.

Drop me an email for any questions.

    Best regards,

Ps, thank you Mr. Shatten. :)

PPs, I do 348 too, slow turn around for this application until my inventory builds back up soon. Custom valving is my specialty.

See my thread on 348 suspension upgrade. That was Rob's unit too. He does a really nice job on the oem bilstein shocks.

Since the outside temperature is low, I got a noise coming from the rear part of the car. The noise occur only when the car is cold. And usually disappeared after ... 10 minutes.

Locating precisely where the noise come from is a bit difficult. I personally have the feeling it's coming from the left-hand side of the engine bay. When my wife believe it's coming from the right side.

Any way. Since I can hear the noise when I turn or on bumping road, I guess it's related to the suspension.

Does anybody have had a similar noise? Any idea what can cause that?

    Welcome to Ferrari Chat, yfc.

I suggest more descriptions of your noise, and please start your own new thread on this subject here in Technical. The more specifics, the better.

    Regards,

    Rob

Before rebuilding, unplug every shock connector and spay with contact cleaner then pug up again. THis system is notorious for getting mechanical issues confused with electrical and/or shock issues. If you have been to the track resently, how was the shocking in the middle of the turns at the bumpiest corner {Great, OK, skiddish}?

The knocking noise you can here is coming from the shockabsorbers, basically it's air inside the shockabsorber hydraulicing, which as you say is worst with colder weather. The reason it dissapears after a short period is because the air has bled itself from the internal valves, when the car is parked up for some time the air bleeds back and the process starts all over again. The only cure is replacement shocks or have the valves replaced by a specialist.

    MW,

    Thanks for your reply.

I was also wondering if the noise was not comming from the shock absorber.

What about the valve you are talking about? Is it the one that electronicaly control the suspension?

No, the valve is an internal component inside the shockabsorber
