Hey whats going on? I have noticed that there are a set on 355 dials on the uks ebay with low mileage on them. There are 31 bids so far and could be riseing. Could this number include rightrius ferrari owners who preach about the importance of a genuine one owner car are the best buys, bla, bla, bla.I cant think why 31 people maybe ferrari owners would want to buy a set of low mileage clocks for there 355s, can you?? Or maybe i am missing some thing.I have a 355 and a lambo and cant think why i woul want to change clocks, could be there are a few KPH imports that want converting, mmm i wonder if they will wind a couple of thousand miles on the new MPH clocks, i mean thats what an honest ferrari owner would do, isnt it, HA! HA! I wonder if a set clocks with 90,000 miles would get that much interest. just makes me laugh.

Steve reading it again it says, very low mileage. And sorry dude you did not read it correctly it indeed says 24,000 and not 22,000, well my fingers are cooler now.I dont know how to convert 24,000 KPH but i think its less than 15,000 miles is it not, so i stick to my original statement.

I'm missing something here. If you're going to take your old speedo out, and replace it with one showing a lower mileage, couldn't you just wind back the clock on your old one eg with a Black & Decker?

Reminds me of an allegedly true story: mechanic takes out the speedo of a car to do some, ahem, maintenance, and finds a sticker on it saying 'oh no, not again!' :D

Problem with that 456 is that with a drill it takes ages, and the numbers never line up correct again.Thats one way of telling if it genuine mileage or not. In fact digital ones like the 360s are easyer to do, its a plug in to the gadget job and choose your own numbers.I think in the trade its called "giveing it an hair cut", and you would be suprised how many have sat in the barbers chair. And before anyone starts with your assumptions on how i know such things, wind ya necks in HA! HA! Is there any one who posts here who bidded on the clocks that posts on here, whould you care to respond............i bet not, still the sermons will come rolling in next time theres a questions regarding genuine ferraris, bla, bla, bla.But It would be nice to think that every one here are genuine honest citizens.

I seem to have been told somewhere that the Ferrari dealers have a diagnostic computer that tells how many miles some of the important compononts have travelled so if some f----ng tosser has messed with the speedo you could have a used car checked before you part with your hard earned I think this maybe only applies to later cars 360s ect Any comments ???

I am pretty sure i right a private trader i know takes his 360s to be checked before he buys When you think about it if you have a problem with a 360 and it clears by the time you get to the garage they can tell on the computer which part has played up surely it can somehow record how many mls some of the parts have done .Maybe our friend that posts on here from Egham or our friend Karl could comment If true it would maybe stop or make it harder for these tossers to do this putting up their car values ripping off us the punters

Do not know if Ferrari are the same, however when I have taken my 996 to the dealer, you can see the miles readout and also a counter of the number of hrs the engine has run - When I got my car the dealer pointed out the corespondence between the miles and hrs and intimated that people can chnage the miles but not the run time hrs. Also has some tell tale stats on the number of times the car has hit the rev limiter !!!!.
New DB9 manual now even states that the car logs your speed and in the event of a crash Aston Martin will make the data available to the police. Make buying that carb 308 look like a safe bet.
