Anyone got direct instructions on how to take this thing out? Do the knobs for the air conditioning controls etc pull off like normal ones ..or are they 'attached' to what's underneath? I tried pulling a bit but they seem quite solid. Regards, Pete
Remove the ashtray. You will see one philips head screw. Remove that screw, and the rest of the center console literally falls right out. Make sure to unplug the appropriate connectors for the lighter, lights, and controls. The knobs for the AC unit come off with the actual faceplate. Remove the unit and you will see four screws on the back. Be careful when you pull it apart as the bulbs for the recirc and stop buttons are very fragile. Hope that helps.
