How much would you pay for 20,000 mile red on tan, 355 spider fiorano with 6 speed transmission? Is being sold by Ferrari authorized dealer.
All service records are available, 30,000 mile tune-up is done, however couple of odd things on the carfax report, there was a problem with the odometer reading around 7000 miles and failed CA emissions, but later passed.
hey im looking at that car also. I am interested in that car but theres alot of things that are very shady about it. I have been really researching it. I think it has been in a very serious accident cause of many clues that were pointed out to me.
http://images.ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/viewall.pl?dir=945_12370#55.jpg If the car you are talking about is this one, I went through all of the pictures and these are my issues with it: 1) The steering wheel has an aftermarket cover on it 2) The steering wheel is not the original carbon fiber one that came with the car 3) The passenger airbag cover looks like it has different leather - has this car been in an accident, because this was replaced at some point 4) The center console is a wreck! Bubbles on AC controls & worn everywhere 5) The dash pod looks to have been replaced or recovered, because it is the only part of the car that is black leather with red stiching - the rest of the dash and doors should have red stiching too if this is factory 6) The carpeting looks very worn for 20,000 miles Main issue is that this car looks to have been in an accident where the airbags were deployed - was it repaired properly??? Check out this car much more before buying it.
also, all the service records are not available. There is no record of a 7.5k or 15k service and I have a BLANK bill from a mercedes dealership that did 5k worth of work on the car.
Thank you, the vin # for that car is ZFFXR48A3X0116572, I just got off the phone with boardwalk porsche where the car is located and they have records for a 5000 mile service with a mercedes dealer, and an 11,000 mile service as well, also a 15,000 mile check in and a 30,000 mile service. The carfax is clear for accidents and airbags, but you are right, it is curious that the stitching is different and the wheel is not the standard wheel. They are checking into the history further, as they have just recently taken it in as a trade for a 911 turbo. Any idea how carfax could miss an accident or airbag deployment? Car comes with new mats. Thanks again for all the info.
That is one nice looking Ferrari. So the previous owner put a steering wheel cover on it - why are you so paranoid?
I have decided to pass on this car because of the questionable history, I still can't figure out why the car is being sold out of the porsche dealership and not the ferrari authorized store for this dealership?
I would too. for the price and the type of car it is it should have super service history hands down. there should be no games stories what so ever with a car this rare. I have see one the guy is from new york the exact car but in MINT SHAPE. YES SIX SPEED
what do you think a fair price for this car would be? There is also one in california, and I talked to the owner, but his demands were too crazy to ever warrant doing business with him. Any info on the NYC owner and if he is willing to sell?
Wow that is amazing, a Serie Fiorano not well taken care of . That is a rare 355 being a manual 6-speed!! I think there are less than 15 of those!!!
http://www.qv500.com/ferrarif355p5.php This website says: "Only 100 Serie Fiorano's were initially going to be made but Ferrari eventually manufactured 104." But it also says that they were F1-equipped... so if what you're saying is true, I guess the 6-speed manual version was even more limited? Does "F1" refer to the "F-1 style" paddle shifters only? ~shahedc .
I had pics on my computer but it broke. I have not seen it in three years and when I did see it I was at the MOUNT pocono ferrari event. He has not been there. The owner is very nice older man. he told me there were 6 made but I hear there were more. All I know it was a NEW york car from the plates I'm going to the ferrari event in Jersey this sept. He mite be there. can't make the glen Clove event in new york.
Yes 355 F1 is a paddle shift version. The manual 6-speed is labeled as F355. Yes this is very rare, I think there were only about 15 of the 104 were F355's.....
Yes this is a very rare car, and I think a good project for someone, but not for me, this would be my first F-car and want something with a solid history.
This car has not been taken good care of......I personally looked at it when it was at Andretti Motors, and the price was much lower.
