Well - I am moving on to something different and I have my 355 spider for sale - if anyone is interested in a well maintained and unequaled documented 355 - take a look at the old FerrariAds I just posted her!

I hate to say it but I think I am going to go over to the Lambo side on my next purchase - thinking about a Gallardo... But still going back and forth between that and a 360...

    Thanks,
    Rich

Some of us who own 355s with its more defined lines, think the Lambo makes a better styling statement than the 360. The Lambo just plain looks more exotic. I wish Ferrari would get a clue.

The classic lines of the 355 are hard to beat... I also think for 140-150K - a 2004 Gallardo with all wheel drive and 500hp from a performance standpoint is just hard to pass up (and it is under warranty). I think the depriciation will be heavy on the Gallardo - I am just evaluating on how much a newer 360 will depriciate when the 430 hits in general population. That is not an overriding factor - just a consideration I am looking at - since I go through cars every 2 years.

I do however like the 360 Spider - and that is what I am going back and forth on - I have seen some decent 02's for around 180's - and if they came down to the 150 or so mark I would be torn.

I have had both Hard Top and Spiders in F-cars - and I really enjoy the convertibles much more - since I use it for more pleasure driving. I am just waffleing on hard top or spider...

A friend in our little car club in Cincy has a VT roadster - which is kindof the best of both worlds - so that is a potential as well and about as exotic looking as they come - and within that price point. So I have a lot of looking to do - which is by far the most fun part of owning these kind of cars!

    hehehe...hehehe...hehe... :)

i m playing that song "open arms" by journey in my mind right now....yeah, i know that will date and likely gain me a label or two....but appropriate.

btw, you are on the right path, bro....go for the diablo roadster.....it's "out of the world exotic"...words can't describe and pictures don't do justice......i must confess when i saw her in person was also the first time i become sexually aroused by a machine...(fwiw, it was the last time as well...thankfully).

TOM - Step away from the Roadster :)

I am with you the VT is a great car - It will definetly be on the short list!

PS. I am feeling Tom like - Had my 67GTC, then the 61 GTE, then the 355, throw a couple of Lambos in there and I could be your evil twin brother ;)

    Happy new year btw!

Gotta tell ya Richard - This Diablo is the best car I have ever owned. They are also holding strong values. A close friend bought a Roadster last week and paid a little over 200K for it.. Keep in mind they only built slightly over 100 Diablo's per year....aren't that many around..

Frank - good thought - I was doing a little digging today on the SV models - a couple of guys in our little Cincy club have them... I did see a Moteray Edition(Sp) - that also looked nice. I see them around the 130 - 160 mark (for earlier models)... I have seen a few VT Roadsters in the 160 - 200 mark as well.

I am going to need a lot more education on the Lambo - before I dive in - I will ping you guys on years, makes, etc, etc. once I get closer to a decision or brand... I am still leaning for the Gallardo (due to Newness, Warranty, AWD, and the look...) But the VT/Diablos are more wicked looking....

Frank - I heard a comment on another thread about Sliver Lambos being worth less/Depriciate more... Is that true for the VT/Diablo and Gallardo as well... I actually was looking at sliver as my first choice - should I reconsider?

    Hope all is well!

Never heard that about silver... I kind of like it....goes with the rims...

There's about 5 good lambo web sites for info... However, because there are fewer cars, they are not as active as FChat... (still my favorite).

All's great here. PM me when your coming down and I'll round up the locals.

    You have mail...

PS - If you're going to sell the Lambo in a few years go with the Gallardo...it's new, warranty, easy to drive, etc.

If you want a keeper (and really mean it) get a Diablo.

    Frank,

Got the e-mail - great info as always!

I was down in Marathon (just got back Monday) - was down there for 12 days - didn't even get to take the boat out fishing - it was too darn windy....

I did spend a few days in Ft. Lauderdale (22 - 26th) with the inlaws. Went to a very interesting body shop where I got to see a CS, Enzo, Daytona and 275GTB being worked on - all owned by the same guy who owns the Swap Shoppe and all are yellow. I have some pics to post this weekend when I am back from work travel... Up in Michigan now - lots of snow!

Thanks again for the e-mail and links,

    Rich

...and ya know the really cool thing about a Lambo is that, if you push the right button, it transforms into a giant robot or some other kind of toy. :)
