Makes the stock top look incredible!!
Agree... When I first saw this rendering I was reminded of the 550 Barchetta top as well. Check out this link. The stock top is just horrible and the custom version (a little bit better) adds the c-pillar for better looks. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295841
Sorry, it won't. It might to you...if so, go for it...just don't look for acceptance from this crowd. (we're tough to please )
No mate it would look dreadful no matter what you did to it.Why on earth would you mess around with the shape of the hood.
I think your money would be better spent elsewhere. I do, however like the idea of the purple suede loveseat.
My god, I had never seen a 550 Barchetta with the top up. I had remembering people in various articles in the past stating that they never drove the car in inclement weather because the top was either too hideous or was just a joke-of-a-top. Now that I've seen these pictures, "boy, were they not kidding, or exaggerating one bit.". I could never in my wildest imagination picture how something "so beautiful" with the top down, look so bad with the top up. Seriously, the 550 Barchetta is such a beautiful car. Now I fully understand why Ferrari made such a big deal in designing the technically savvy but sometimes problematic and costly top for the 575 Superamerica. I truly can understand why they put so much thought into that, because surely someone was sleeping when they designed the 550 barchetta top, that had received such harsh but fair criticism.
Excellent photo shop just FYI As far as this original suggestion ????????? SAAAAAAAAAY WHAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!! The one reason I bought my spider was because of this top design, up or down looks fantastic. Up looks the same all round shape as a the gtb down like the prettiest vertible in the world. Why in Gods name would you change that. Now the fit is another matter, make a better top that actually fits better than you can post it up .
I still can't believe how ugly that 550 Barchetta top is. There really is no excuse for Ferrari to have designed a top that fits like that one does!
