I thought the tan interior was ideal, what are your thought about a red/black, with black boot? New to the Forum, this is my first post. Also, 6 speed or F1?
Welcome aboard! Get the color combo you like the most! But more importantly, get a car that has been driven and well maintained. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I used to have RED/TAN on a 308. Tan shows alot of seat wear on the bolster. In fact dye from jeans can rub off onto the seat and is a job getting it off. My interior on my 355 is black with red stitching and I wound get the same color combo on any other future F car I may buy. I love the 355's, looks, performance, and the sound with Tubi exhaust is outstanding. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup, nothing beats Rosso corsa and Nero. Unfortunately, my F355 is RC and Saddle. However, this is only temporary. IMO, I just can't understand Ferraris and/or the original purchasers obsession with RC and saddle
I wouldn't mind the black interior if I lived up north where its cold. Down here in the ATL, you would roast in the sun. I was sweating yesterday on a 78 degree day with my tan seats. I couldn't imagine how hot they would be if they were black. I do like black interior for it's ability to look good for years though.
Your point is well taken. I try not to take mine out until later in the day when the sun is not so intense. I find that the sun just kills the interior. I did however buy a spider top cover from Ricambi America and is the best investment I've made. Covers the windscreen as well as the complete interior, is simple and quick to install. Regular treatments of Leatherique on the interior keeps the seats soft. 355's are great in pretty much all color combo's!
Thanks. I've been tempted to move into another FCar since I've owned this one for quite a while now but I enjoy the true sports car feel of the 355. I will admit the 458 Italia surely stirs the emotions and will probably be my next.
Red over black is the cat's meow!!! check mine out!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
red/black is an amazing color combo. i've had a red/black M3 and a red/black Lotus Elise and both were great. Looks even better on a Ferrari
I live in California and the black seats don't get as hot as you'd think. The black seats in my Trans Am will blister you on a hot day. In the F355 they are warm, but not unbearable. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I hate you (just kidding of course) and I'm green with envy. I think it's the only F355 RC/Nero with red stitching in the Registry. Seriously, your interior is exactly how I want mine to eventually look. I've found a source for new seat covers, but I still will not have the red stitching on the other leather areas without an entire interior re-covering. Now that your car is for sale, if it were a 6-speed, I'd buy it in a second. I wish you the best of luck with the sale. Your car and Robbie's (285Ferrari) are probably the best F355s around.
Mines in the registry 115727 99' 6 speed. No "automatic" for me LOL! Disappointed the 458 will not have the 3rd pedal. The red stitching just sets it off nicely.
Red/Black is my favorite, but all 3 of mine (328,348,355) have been Red/Tan. I couldn't find a good red/black when I was shopping. Geno
Every Ferrari I have owned was Rossa Corsa with tan interior....including my current F355 spider. But I have to admit that the black interior looks great, and probably is a more practical choice from the standpoint of durability and longevity.
