I just bought my 2nd 355 spyder. 360 is the middle child kinda forgotten. 430 is bigger brother with more power and obnoxious sounds. 458 is damn perfect star quarterback with supercar performance.

355 is the epitome of the a ferrari brand for me in terms of sound, looks, driving feel. You don't need to go fast to feel like you are going fast in a 355.

my twoall time favorite ferraris on equal footing is the 355 spider and F40.

As much as I love the 458, and loved my 360, this was part of the reason for my switch.

I do miss that 360 though and I WANT BOTH!!!!!! Hard choice and no clear winner in my mind.

    Aerodynamics? Puleeease.

Nah. Style is more important. :)

Middle child? First aluminum body, first return back to 60's styling from the angular wedge. Nah. More like the first modern Ferrari. ;)

Yeah too bad they didn't have a wind tunnel before the 360 ;)

Not sure about that. Cars from the '60s didn't have a flat tall front fascia with two huge gaping holes.

I think these discussions really show that there are 2 distinct camps when it comes to the Ferrari V8 world in terms of design. Either you prefer the curvy V8 styling (360, 430, 458, 488) or you prefer the sharp edged, straight lined, pop up light V8 styling (308, 328, 348, 355).

I appreciate both in their own way, but do favor the curvy V8's as IMO the design is more timeless, whereas the 308-355 can feel a little more stuck in the 80's and 90's as more cliche styling of the times. As proof, will pop up lights ever make a return?

But the moral of the story is it seems most Ferrari V8 fans fall cleary into one camp or the other, and don't waiver or show middle ground in terms of their preference! Sort of like fans in any big football rivalry.

Never cared for 355's. I don't see what the fuss is about looks wise.
So my vote is for either a gated 360 or f1 430.
Get a capristo or stradale exhaust and you won't even remember the 355 sound.

    This sums it up well.

What makes the 328 so great is it had both curves and angles as well as dated stuff like vents.

Ummmm yeah your first 2 pics look nothing like a 360 at least to me. This is all subjective so what I like has no bearing on what you like. To me the 360 does nothing for me. But to others I'm sure it floats their boat.

Variety is the spice of life!

All my very humble and unimportant opinion.

Fair enough, but there wasn't anything "humble" about calling someone elses car a jellybean. that sort of rude remark likely took the thread in a very different direction.

Sorry if I offended anyone, it's just what comes to my mind when I see the front. Like I said to each their own and we are all lucky to own any one of them.

In all fairness... calling the car a jellybean is pretty harmless... especially when you consider how most people conduct themselves on the internet

Jellybean or "ugliest car ever made by ferrari" "looks like a dog turd" Im not saying that... im just saying that would be the typical response on the internet.

Jellybean was a polite way of describing it. Its certainly nicer than say... bland or boring or unimaginative...

Again, I think the 360 is a good looking car...

This is the internets... and we're all in good fun here. As a 360 owner I'll take "jelly bean" with a smile. In all fairness then I refer to the 355 as "the wallet emptier". :)

We all have evidence that forms our opinions in either way. I'm a fan of having thicker skin on an internet forum. :)

Oh precisely...but is that shape not more curvy than a 360 and more importantly, is it not timeless? Heres a fun fact that some folks might not know: when you adjust your seat-back up for maximum visibility those sweet front wheel arches are visible! Glorious it is!

It's the hatchback on 360s that I don't like. At least the spiders don't have it. 8 cylinder Ferraris had flying buttresses and a vented hood on the back for more than 2 decades. I was really turned off when that was lost. The 360 is a great car but you have to buy what you love.

I could never see trading one of the best looking (and sounding) Ferrari's for one of the ugliest.
