Just found a bargain on eBay, a 355 Challange hub / steering wheel adapter. Won it for a paultry $39 ! What, non of you 355 guys frequent eBay?

Painted it black with Plasticoat spray. Got a Ferrari / Momo horn button from G.Evens (another eBay find) and found a New Old Stock Momo Club 3 with black suede (discontinued for a few years now)...again an eBay find... to match the Black Alcantara that I recovered my upper dash.

I like it so much that I decided not to trade the car in for a Z06 ;^P

Just have to find the correct resistance value for the old air-bag (to let the computer "think" there's a bag in circuit) or just unplug the air bag bulb from behind the cluster.

Car seems much more responsive with the smaller (13.8") wheel and the driving / arm position is a bit more comfortable / natural.

Very nice! I have thought about swapping out the steering wheel from time to time and so far my thought was to buy a 348 wheel but you did well that's for sure, thanks for sharing.

That looks quite nice! Actually like it a lot. The alcantara pieces look nice as well. Nice job!

Jeff, the new wheel looks great, and you got an amazing deal too. Slightly OT, but is your upper dash alcantara? That looks fantastic, great solution to the 355 dash shrinkage issue.

looks like "Mouse Hair" cost much less. Feels like suede, color fast in U.V and NO SHRINKAGE!. Though not original, I think it gives the interior a updated look sportier feel. Better than the best quality "Naugahyde" I've seen. Not too costly @ $80 yard (used 3 1/2) , did my own r & r but farmed out the actual recovering @1200. locally with John Dutton a.k.a "Mad Stitcher" in Atlanta.

Very nice wheel......but honestly why would you give up the bag for "steering wheel aesthetics" and arm comfort? There is an aesthetic benefit no doubt but the cost for loss of motor skills and head and chest trauma in a collision would give me pause.
You never know when some idiot might pull out in front of you.....but hey the wheel looks great.

    just your unwanted devil's advocate;)
