If you start car 3 times without driving the light comes on. Drive the car and it may go away.

thanks for idea but have driven car since light on and started after power off - did blow two fuses (rear lights) at panel under passenger floor - replaced and ok - diagnostic relay right beside area where these fuses are - did spill coffee there quite awhile ago - immediately checked and no sign of coffee spill -

The suspension system is one of those systems where it's easier to interrogate the computer and extract the fault codes. You've addressed the actuators (the most common fault), so that leaves things like the accelerometers (which are really hard to get to), internal computer problems and power/earth issues. I'm guessing that it's not a power issue as both the computer and the fault light get their power from the airconditioning/HVAC fuse.

I've had a couple of problems... one where there was a couple of broken teeth on the top of the shock... and another where I got rid of the light by cycling the soft/hard suspension switch and driving in each mode (in combination with ignition off/on). Do you get the fault in both soft and firm suspension settings?

Anything else not working on the car? e.g. speedo? On the wiring diagram, I even see an input into the computer from a brake fluid pressure sensor... Don't ask me where it is :p
