OK, I think I've read it here before, but couldn't find by searching.

On a 355, is the little coilover icon on the dash, lit in the firm/sport mode, or is it lit in the soft/comfort mode?

    Thanks

    Illuminated, equals soft/comfort setting.

    Ahhhhh.....yes, this I know!!!

My buddy Mike has a Fiorano (which means '99 355), his is an F1 as most of them are. Mike explains that his car goes into "sport" mode when the switch is toggled and the indicator is lit.

HOWEVER...on my '97, it's always in sport mode unless you toggle the switch: this illuminates the indicator light and puts your car into comfort mode.

On a side note: isn't it stupid that we have seperate switches to unlock and lock the doors???

The lock/unlock switches are indeed stupid. But what could be more stupid than having an identical switch and indicator that seem to perform exact OPPOSITE functions depending upon the year and transmission?????

I suppose that's part of the Italian charm......

Okay, some stuff on a Ferrari is indeed "charming or quaint"....but really, the door lock thing (and their location) is annoying. The suspension light thing (if true) is insane! Damn Ferrari! ;)

I hear that if you pop those little switches out and look at the back, you'll be in for an even bigger shock. Something about a certain four letter word that starts with F and is sometimes referred to as Found On Road Dead...
