The shock and spring unit on the 355 looks like a 'coil over' design, much like an after market item would with adjustable ride height. Looking at some pictures closely (Iv only seen the rear shock), the bottom section of the body is finely threaded and the lower spring seat platform has those notches cut into it to allow for one of those large C spanners to move the ring up or down on its threads, although usually on an aftermarket coilover there are two rings to lock against each other. Im guess what im asking is it is really a coilover, would be nice to have a car straight of the factory floor that the ride height could be slighty tweaked. After market coilovers used to exist for these cars didnt they? im assuming if you fitted such a set you would lose the stock fancy plug in actuator? system that is part of the standard cars good ride.

That's a good question Mark and I'm going to ask my mechanic about that. I'm surprised nobody has chimed in. If there are two things about the F355 I (kind of) don't like, it's the too-soft steering and too-soft suspension. In fact, I don't even notice a difference when I activate the switch. There are some guys running Motons on here I know that. When I changed the suspension on my M3 it was like a razor. A little more bumpy on the streets, but on the track, wow! I'll check and get back.

I've never adjusted mine but there does appear to be two spanner rings to adjust ride height (one is smaller and not as easy to see). I have no reason to adjust ride height, I scrape the nose enough as it is!

They are coil overs and can be adjusted. Fchatters on here have done it many times before on 348 and 355. :):)

I am not too sure on how it would affect the suspension acuator? I dont remember sorry. :):)
