what is the widest tire i can put on a 355 spyder rear
I searched for you, using the "search" function in the upper left side of the page. Several threads say a 295/35/18 will fit fine, with no clearance issues. I would caution that this may upset the balance a bit, creating more understeer. That may only be apparent with serious track use though... I know several, including myself, have gone to 275/40/18 with no problems at all. And this size is much easier to find than the stock 265/40/18.
Check out fitment using Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires. They seem to be wider across the board, than any other tire in any given size. BTW, IMHO they look awesome with their tiger stripe tread design Cheers, Hank
I just checked on tire rack, and that does not seem to be the case for the couple sizes I checked, including the 275/40/18...seemed right in the middle. Width was 10.8", and see them from 10.6 to 11.

I've got 315 mm rears/255 fronts. Selling the set up (it is new) but won't clear the big brake kit I just purchased.
