HI Guys, Done some searching and didn't see an answer to my question. I depressed the Traction Control button on my 1999 355 F1 Spider, light on the dash lit up, and pushed the loud pedal semi hard. The car just kinda puttered, did not want to spin the tires, or accelerate hard. So my question: 1. What should I expect when I depress the TC button and the light in the dash goes on? 2. With the dash light off, does that mean the TC is on? Really stupid questions but the fact that I "turned" TC off and it just bogged down, almost in limp mode, well that freaked me out. Thanks brothers and sisters. Boaf
Do you mean the low friction/slippery road mode? From the workshop manual: 2nd gear is selected for takeoffs When 2nd gear is selected, downshift requests are ignored While running, the system will automatically upshift at 2700rpm Downshifts from 6th to 5th will only be accepted if the engine rpms are lower than 2700. It is advisable to disengage automatic and sport modes prior to selecting the low friction mode. Expect the above behaviour. The manual doesn't explain why you still get strange behaviour when you turn it off.
Qavion. Thanks man, I never really understood what it did. So, for Snow (Like it always snows in FL). Boaf
