Just curious how many miles you have on them in 5 years? Thanks.

The sound will change very little and if you notice it, I would be amazed. Its everything after the headers that makes a difference in sound.

I sold the car late last summer with just over 53k miles. I had the Tubis installed somewhere around 22k and never had any issues with them.

Thank you Robin, so you had around 30k miles on your Tubi manifolds. Congratulations for driving your car and enjoying it. I guess the real question is how long these will last before a failure occurs. Even if they carry a lifetime warranty, you are still going to have to remove them and pay to send them back to Tubi. Has anyone ever done a manifold survey to see how any miles a Tubi or Fabspeed header will last?

Tubi and Fabspeed in the same sentence? I know I just did it too. The tubi will outlast anything out there. If you eliminate the cats, they will last 2 lifetimes. Even the OEM headers will last a ton longer if you get rid of the cats.

I'm pretty sure both Tubis and Fabspeeds will outlast the car...

    Or am I pushing it?

Well Fab, If I had to put money on one of them, I know where my money would go. ;)

I know many have more confidence in the Tubis and prefer their design but this whole view that Tubis are excellent and Fabspeeds are just a Band aid seems a little misguided.

I'd say Tubis are excellent and Fabspeeds are very good.

Tubis are also more than double the price....

I like the Tubi headers as well. The problem that I have with them is you only get a 2 year warranty for a header that is extremely expensive. The warranty should be alot longer. On most of these cars, the warranty will expire before the product has been used.

I'm very bummed.... I just purchased Tubis from Best Exhaust and had them shipped directly to the local F-dealership. The dealership said the units were packed very poorly and got damaged en route. A few questions: 1) does it look like there is there any chance of material damage that may lead to a replacement down the road? 2) if no serious damage, how visible will all the dents and bangs be once installed? 3) should I try to get Best/Eurospares to send replacements? Thanks for any feedback!

Now you got me scared bought a set last march but got them late and had the engine back in the car already. I thought they were packaged very well they had that hard moulded foam all around them. Now I need to look close at them to make sure they are not damaged. I got mine from nick at Forzas along with a capi stage 3. I believe nick only charged me about 5500 for the tubis. I hope they are ok. Nick was excellent to deal with a real professional. Also a sponsor. I highly recommend him. Grant

If you look carefully at some of the pics of the Tubi headers on THEIR website you will see some dents in the heat shield. Their wrapping seems very soft (but probably efficient). The OEM solution was a thin, rigid shell. I would not worry about it either.
