355 Type numbers and serial numbers

I am doing some research into 355 data plate numbers. Can any one tell me if 355 Berlinetta's have the same EEC Type number as the Spider , I have a UK spider, type number is F129 with variant number AD and version number E. Which numbers are perculiar to the spider?. Also what is the number on the bottom right of the (Euro)Data plate? Is this a Serial number? Mine has this number eched in while I see that Aussie cars have it printed on. I assume that as such the Euro cars had individual numbers while Aussie cars did not?
A picture of a euro--preferably UK-- Berlinetta 5.2 motronic data plate would help. I believe the 5.2 is different to the 2.7.
I know it's a pretty boring subject-but I have been asked what these numbers mean and I have no idea.
