I would like to get my valve covers painted.

Are there any tricks to removing and replacing these with the engine in the car? Things sure look tight in some places.

I am pretty sure I could wiggle them out, but a touch worried about lining up the gaskets and cover while everything goes back in.

Any expereince out there that you care to share?

    Thanks........

It's a pretty easy job once you remove a few of the things that are in the way. Left side is particularly easy, it really helps to remove wheels and inner fenders and work through there.

    +1.

Just go in through the wheel wells by removing the fender liners. Easy once you go in that way.

Thanks guys. I was planning on pulling the inner fenders. Nice to confirm that is the preferred way.

Did you remove the air intake covers when you pulled the valve covers? or can I get them off without disturbing that part?

Remove everything that is in your way. The airboxes are easy and will help you do a better job.

My #1 and #2 spark plug wells exhibit a bit of oil suggesting the valve cover spark O rings are leaking.

From what I have read, I am not excited about the prospect of tearing a cam seal O ring once inside?
I could wait until next year when I am planning an engine out?

The car is running as good as ever, but scanner says bank 1 LTFT a little high at 14 suggesting some sort
of vacuum leak. Just completed clutch/flywheel rebuilt and axle boots and thought I might have dislodged
something, but cannot find anything obvious. I expected an OBD code to show, particularly O2 sensor, but
    no codes thrown.

Is it possible that a spark plug O ring could allow air into the engine and cause higher fuel trims?
