355 Versus 360 Performance

I must not be a very good searcher. I am having trouble finding any threads on the above. If any of you gentlemen remember threads where the performance of the 355 versus the 360 were discussed I'd appreciate you posting their locations.

I have both. A 99 355F1 spider and a 99 360F1. As far as 360's go the 99's are the fastest, no pre cats or air induction system, much the same that 95 355's are the fastest of there breed.

I love both cars for various reasons, but if you are talking performance only, the 360 is faster. I have raced the 360 against three differant 355's, a 95, 99 and 98F1 with hyper flows, headers and kn's. With the 98 it was the closest,so those mods must work, but I could still slowly pull away.The 360 is bone stock. We raced up to 150MPH from a dead stop and rolling starts.I was suprised how close the racing was to be honest, the 360 has more low end torque so it feels faster, but in the end it was only a couple of car lengths. Just remember to rev the heck out of the 355.

On a side note, nothing sounds better than the 355, just incredible at 8500rpm.

If I had to make a choice and only keep one, I would take the 355. In my opinion the 355 is the best looking and sounding sports car ever with the 360 a close second.

Or I could sell them both and buy a 430!!

Interesting. If you heard goth's Hyper/Cap exhaust you'd probably agree. However, I really like the 360CS exhaust. It's like goth's but just a bit more F1-like; maybe a bit higher pitched. Both are truly amazing at the limit.
