agree, certainly fast for its time. Might be getting close to a trade up.

That guy can drive, but he can't shift. You could not find a gear that day.

One thing Ive learnt as a 348 owner is how Ferrari are sooo good at replacing an older model with a much better newer model. The 348 was like the second coming at the time through 89 to 93-94 with a 2 year waiting lists on orders when first released and I can rattle off countless quotes on how much improved it is over the 328 both in performance and looks (a car I love by the way and very nearly bought instead of my 348).
Then with the 355 release it fast became the poorer ugly prototype. Suddenly all the benefits over the 328 were forgotten, instead all the shortcomings compared to the 355 were sited instead.
In turn I think only the 355 purists can genuinely argue a 355 is better than a 360. It simply isnt and it would be a sad day for Ferrari designers if it really was.
Then came the 430 which makes the 360 both plain looking and down right slow. Then comes the mighty 458 which blows them all away.

What is true though is that each model is indeed unique. Ferrari doesn't simply change the grill and mirrors and call it a new model they truely reinvent the breed and gives us something new and special each time.
Always amazes me how Ferrari can create what we see as an amazing car (as we all thought with the F430 for example) only to bring out something even more unique and stunning in the next model. Can't wait to see what they come up with to replace the 458.....!!!

Fancy "seeing you" here! Agreed but the car is getting to be almost 20yrs old so let's not be too harsh about it's performance. NA993 perform less well, even the RS.

WOW you guys are a rough crowd LOL :)

355 is just a fun sports car thats easy to work on. Only thing thats possibly more fun is a R5 turbo. Had both and its a close call. Still looking to get another one one day

Fast? tweaky powerband? Well, used to race for Factory Team Honda motocross back in the 70's no power until 10,000 rpm is right up my ally

Only problem is you need a track to make her do what she is made for, NO NO NO I swore I would never track again .....maybe after divorce

    :)
