This movie reinforces my belief that I need to get a ride in a 355 soon!

i didn't think any cars had less torque than a 355...but i think that theory is now officially disproved! 355s rock!

    LOVED the ending :)

Pointless comparison, because the M3 Convertible is alot heavier (and slower) than the Coupe version.

Also, Both types of E46 M3 have 343bhp, compared with the 355's 380bhp.

355 versus the M3 CSL (lighter, more responsive engine, 360bhp) would be interesting. :)

still nice to see the 355 walk away pretty easily, convertible or not. a 355 spyder would of done pretty much the same thing.

Aerodynamics plays a roll a speed too, and the 355 is much lower (though I really don't know the drag numbers).

I ran my neighbor in his 360 in my M3 coupe on the freeway between 80-120 and he pulled me but not by much, not as much as the 355 pulls this convertible.

I thought the 360 should have been faster, maybe he sucks at teh driving?

    Sad.

Those woeful US spec E36's that you call "M3s" but actually have the engine from the 328(?) in them...

    Didn't believe it at first.

Total night and day between the "US spec" and "Euro spec" E36 M3s.

I have both cars, 355 GTB & M3 SMG. I know the 355 is faster but let me tell you that with the mods I have on my M I would take it to the track before the Ferrari any day. Also, that walk away is not as severe as that for sure. Who on this planet would be 50mph in third gear anyway?

It would be more better to compare year for year 355s and M3. Ie 1997 355 v 1997 M3. What years was the cars? Does anyone know?

2005 M3 competition package with cat back and intake v. 2001 360F1 all stock, 360 pulls slightly against the M3.

    I'm still buying a Ferrari.

99 F355 with Tubi 6-spd will pull a couple a lengths from 55mph to 110mph on 03' 6-spd M3 with exhaust, all in 3rd pull. I just tested it today!!!

Depends on what you want the car for...as a toy, the 355 wins...as a daily driver, the M3 wins...
