Will the 355 wheels work on a 1983 308? I'm considering either those wheels or a set of the GTO-style wheels.

    Advice (as always) is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they will, but it's not a simple bolt on. You will need spacers and longer bolts and you will need to replace the shocks/springs in the rear with 2.5 ID springs for clearance or 2.25ID if you can find them. I think that will do it.

I have an '84 308 and I'm going with the Compomotive TS wheel, which is the GTO style. This way the wheel still looks like a vintage wheel for the cars time. IMHO if you go with a newer wheel it'll look out of place. Go to www.usacomp.com and click on replica wheels. Of all that I've seen these look closest to the originals.
