355 Windshield Repair Recommendations?

    The crack in my 355 windshield is now about 12" long. Time to replace the glass. I was going to call FoNE for this service but they may job it out, not sure. Has anyone experience with FoNE or a specialty shop for Ferrari windshield replacement?
    I looked at several 355's prior to my purchase. A couple had very poor fitting replacement windshields. Don't want to make the same mistake. Thanks.

    Be careful. The windshield TRIM for the 355 alone was around $1300 (and that was about 5 years ago!). You can get replacement rubber trim for about 1/20th of that, but it won't be original. Presuming that you're claiming insurance on this, so you're not worrying about the cost, but the insurance company may pressure the glass company to try to re-use the old trim (virtually impossible), or use the rubber trim instead.

    Thank you for the recommendations and advice. I will probably use FoNE and hope they can negotiate with the insurance company. As Dennis points out, the insurance company may balk at the cost!
