    Big Red,

A great response. Point very well taken

C'mon everybody has to admit the original request was absolutely insane.

Rent a complete stranger my Ferrari...yeah right.

I don't even let my wife ( who drives better than me ) drive my car, let alone a stranger.

And I don;t even care if dinner is included

The point I am trying to make is your questions is absurd. Its like me asking for your girlfreind for the night. Same thing, actually worse !, Your girl could defend herself, a car(ferrari or not) cannot defend itself.

This is a ferrari chat forum, not www.wannabeferrarichat.com. I think it takes great b----$ to ask that question. I could even respect it, if it was approached alittle differently maybe. My reply was to have a charge on posts for individuals so to keep (unneeded questions) to a minimum. But I got some attack, and funny enough it came from non-ferrari owners, and some non subscribers. Very strange how this forum has changed to just another forum.

Hopefully one day you will understand, and others in your age group that somethings are just not asked. And maybe, just maybe one day you can afford to buy your own fcar(s) and do nothing all day just like myself.

As for the deserve a ferrari comment......kid your just out of your league, try not to spluge yourself, or crack the car up when you go for your first ride.

Until then, keep dreaming and working hard to buy the car.

oh yeah.....as for your orginal thread question.

    NO !!!!!!

Big red, you established in the other thread that you didnt like the question and were "offened" by it. So you dont have to be even bigger of an ass. Just leave the kid alone, he asked a question.

Stick to the BMXs and the intrepids Dino

Just remember , if a company that is business to rent exotics to people won't rent to this guy, why the hell would any private owner "loan" or "rent their car to a stranger.

It is an absolutely absurd request.

Furthermore it is easy for you - a guy who has never owned a car, paid insurance, or even had a drivers license - to say who's right and who's wrong.

Remember, it is not the fact that being young means that you are being treated roughly, it is your attitude.

There are a lot of young guys that I have met ( Tanner, Sheldon ) that are lightyears ahead of their chronological age, in terms of demeanour. Becasue of that they get treated well by us, regardless of what they drive.

You and the guy that made the original request combined probably couldn't afford the deductable on a ferrari anyway

I am Big Reds side, that's for sure.

So what, my attitude to stick up for people, for people to play nice is wrong?

So im young and dont have money for a deductable, what are you going to hold that against me? for some comment i made over the internet where 99.9% of stuff is bs. So whats it to you that I cant afford the deductable? do you expect every 14 year old to have 200k in the bank?

LOL, funny thread. I don't know why some of you are taking it so serious, it was a stupid request to begin with.

Mad, I know you want a nice car for your prom but seriously your asking to borrow a $150,000+ car on your prom night, come on now. Thats one night of your life that your going party till you drop! And do you think a Ferrari owner would honestly need the few bucks so you can take there car out? Even if a owner agree'd you would have tons of legal issues with the insurance. I don't blame you for taking a shot at it but you can admit that it was a pretty immature post by asking to borrow or rent out someones exotic. I wouldn't even rent out my SL let alone a Ferrari so I think you set yourself up for the bashing your receiving. If you where interested in riding in a Ferrari I could have had my cousin take you for a ride in his 360 if you were in Vancouver.

By the way, I will give you credit for the F355 replica and hope everything works out for you on that front. Some might think its a waste of time or just plain junk but I see it as a form of "art" (some might disagree but whatever) and for a 20 year old I think it shows a creative edge. It's nice to see that you have talent and maybe you can expand on your talents and maybe down the road you'll own a Ferrari or a exotic of your own and look back at this post and have a laugh. Who knows anything happean if you work hard. Good luck!

    Mike,

A word of advice; this comes from the previous owner of my car: "the only people that should drive your car are you, and your mechanic."

Although there's no harm in asking, you shouldn't be surprised at getting a little flamed for asking to rent/borrow/barter someone's Ferrari. You brought it on yourself, so enjoy the flaming and the 15 minutes of fame that goes with it. ;)

Hey SLdriver thanks for the good luck, and to everyone else i am not taking this serious, i didnt expect so many good responses to be honest with you, the only thing that i dont appreciate is how BIG RED posted my thread in here with my name and e-mail personally attacing me..

If BIG BAD RED wants to keep picking away at this, it wont bother me.
The replica im building may seem like a money pit, but its actually and investment. my plan is to work my ass off build maybe one or two more of these kits and boom real FERRARI here i come.

Anyways BIG RED, i dont mind paying to be a member of this site.
PS, Big Red ill be the bigger man and say YES IT WAS A REALLY REALLY DUMB QUESTION TO ASK, but if i dindt ask i wouldnt be going to vancouver next year to drive a 355.
