FERRARI 355/360 CRASH WARNING- DO NOT watch if u are weak of heart. I am not sure if this is a 355 of 360, but im guessing its a 355. good thing nobody was hurt. It says here that the driver got out the car ok. turn up the vol. high to hear the intensity. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/japancrash.html
It's a 355, and the driver was very seriously injured. The crash was discussed quite a bit back in October when the driver won a lawsuit against the organizers of the race.
is there any way to download this and save it ? it remains as a Explorer file that requires a connection to view. i have never seen it until now.
the 'intensity' of the fire that seriously burned and disfigured for life the driver....boy was THAT a fun day behind the wheel....... What's your point?
Crashes and Fires are part of our high speed hobby. Seeing this, might lead one to ask questions.... like why is the 355 such a fire hazard? (what can be done to make it more track safe?). Should I buy a 355? Also, if this crash video helps someone go out and buy a fire extinguisher, or think twice before racing on a public road.... well then, isn't this man's tragedy a little less of a negative, if it can help others?
The fuel cell in the Porsche was damaged when it first crashed. When the F355 struck it, both tanks went up at the same time. That's a horrible crash and I try to watch it every once in a while to remind myself of what being a stupid driver can lead to. The Porsche guy was an idiot, he was swerving in an effort to keep his tires warm and lost control on that soaked track. The track officials were also idiots, considering there were no fire and safety crews anywhere nearby.
