My 99 360 has the ASR and ABS warning lights triggered while driving.
Upon checking on the web, I found there is a recall for the ABS/ASR control unit, affecting 99 models. Well, I called Ferrari of Long Island (FNA if I'm not mistaken) to explain the situation, and they say the S.N. of my car does not apply for this campaign. Therefore, I am stuck with a factory problem and recall, but the factory does not want to cover it.
Can someone tell me what to do in this case?

Can you post more information about this recall? Where you found the information and what pertains to it, and SN numbers that are included in the recall? Thanks

What makes you believe this is a factory problem and should be covered by the recall? I did many of those recalls and none of the cars had your problem. Cars just break. Maybe yours just broke.

I read it and performed it many times in 1999. It only applied to some 99's, evidently not yours.

Again what makes you think your broken car is related the the recall? 328's had recalls, mine is broken. Does that mean Ferrari is trying to avoid performing recall related repairs to my car?

Brian, I just spoke to FNA. They say the campaign applies ONLY to some '99 vehicles.
According to them, mine has a latter Serial Number, which -in theory-, already came with the problem fixed. Evidently not so.

What I am asking and you are not answering is, how is the failure related to the recall?

Just because there was a recall of component of a system and that system has had a failure 10 years later does not automatically mean your car is broken for the same reason the control units were recalled.

MY ABS/ASR module was checked and found to be defective.
The dealer also pointed some 99 and newer cars have reported the same problem after several years of use. Some instances, like mine, the SN of the vehicles do not fall into the recall, yet the problem is there.
