    Hey guys.

Doing the dreaded drive cycle to prep the sensors for CA SMOG on my 360.

I've done the FNA recommended drive cycle and got all but the AIR sensor to be ready for SMOG test. I repeated the cycle a few times but the AIR sensor hasn't changed to ready state yet.

Curious if anyone has any successful methods to get this sensor to become ready?

What model year is your 360? I assume >2000.

AIR = Air Injection Pump (make sure pump runs and no leaks in the hose/valve/to the air rails on the headers. It's only activated during COLD start. Just let car sit overnight and fire it up and let it idle for 7-8mins. You can have the OBD scanner hooked up and displaying that screen in your pic and you should see it flip from red X to green check during idle

Sammy, I've got a 2004. I've even let the car idle to 30 mins, let alone 7~8 min and still no luck :(

By cold start do you mean the entire cycle of :

start cold and idle for 4 min, then drive in 4th gear @ 2000-2500rpm for 3.5 miles…etc?

If so, I completed that cycle once.

Ah, ok, so just do the start cold and idle for 7-8mins again. Make sure car/engine is cold. Sometimes it won't set the with just one cycle

Yours an auto or a manual?

This is a smog instructor talking about similar car. just not sure what you would do for a manual. your 30 minute idle should have done it. go to 1:28:37

That problem is well known in Maserati. Maybe it will work on Ferrari.

Ok, finally got the AIR sensor to be in ready mode and passed SMOG.

Essentially all I did was drive the car under the FNA 360/575 guidelines to set the monitors. All of them did except the AIR.

For AIR, I basically cold started the car each morning and let it sit idle for 7 min. Then went out and drove normally but kept the RPM under 3K. Usually I just drove from home to work and back. Eventually the sensor turns ready. I didn’t keep track of days, but I think it was about the 7th or 8th day of the cold start that the AIR sensor eventually turned ready.
