Its what you see. Did you get new engine computers or are you going to take it to ferrari to mate them?

Nope. You have to take it to ferrari or get the engine computers off the car that you got the alarm ecu from.

The alarm is linked to the engine computers on each side of your engine bay. If your car has not been programmed before you can do it. If it has you can swap the computers (left to right) and do it. But if that has been done already you need to buy a whole new set up.

I too had to purchase a new alarm ecu. The alarm ecu is paired to one of the motronic engine computers. You can swap the engine ecu's and mate your new alarm ecu to the engine ecu. I forget if it is right or left. The alarm ecu is behind the drivers seat and the engine ecu's are under the drip panels in the engine compartment.

Yes correct the car needs to go to ferrari to have that done.

Or call a shop that works on these cars around you to see if they have the tool. I think you need the sd2 or sd3 tool to do this

My understanding is that a SD2 computer is needed to mate or join the alarm ecu to the motronic

glad to hear it worked out. Have you tried the PIN code associated with the new alarm ECU to confirm you can start the car without the alarm fob?

Hello Folks , I am London based. I have fallen foul of the lost hard key and alarm fob situation. Need some advice please. Ferrari provided me with the original pin and hard key code no charge. Went through the original Dealer.

I want to buy a used alarm ECU with its fobs, just incase my alarm PIN has been changed.
My question is; if i buy the used fobs and alarm ECU, will all I have to do is exchange the alarm ECU's??? I read about moving the related engione Computers from left to right, or right to left.

many thanks in advance for any advice.
