    Folks,

    Need help.

03 360, some times after driving - I try starting the car and the chirp from the alarm sounds muted and beeps several times (possibly 4 never checked). Then the dash gauges seem to go crazy - almost like a shorting issue.

If I make the car sit for a while, then all works properly.

I have also started noticing that the little red light on the left side of the dash (alarm light), now stays on while driving. If I try arming or disarming the car, all havoc happens again.

Anyone have this type of issue ?

I believe that there have been many threads on the alarm siren battery going bad which causes many of the problems you describe. I would recommend doing a search on "Alarm battery"

    tdb,

Here's one thread on the subject from the past few days, but there are many more giving great detail of how to cure the problem. The search tab on top left will bring up many threads on the subject.

The dash problem sounds like low system voltage. Its quite common. That will effect the security system too. Have someone load test the alternator and battery. A voltage test is worthless, it needs to be load tested.
