My 360 alarm goes off randomly....whilst driving, whilst running....whenever.
It runs through about 10 cycles of sounding, then 10 seconds off and then sounds for about 30 seconds.
It can't be silenced by cycling the fob.

Any suggestions on what could cause this before I start ripping into it?

    Thanks

Most likely corroded backup battery in the siren. Early warning of impending battery failure in the siren is that the alarm LED does not go off when the engine is running.
You can disconnect the siren and the system will work, this will also prove that it's the siren.
The siren module batteries are all at least 12 year old - so not unexpected they will fail.

    Thanks for your feedback...

Okay, I've removed the siren and it sounded off automatically... I'm guessing that it sensed a voltage drop and off it went. I let it sound out til it's battery went flat.

My next concern was whether the car would start, knowing how dependant this car is on circuitry in the ECUs etc that it might have disabled the start sequence, but it did fire up okay...

So now my question is.... The siren battery. It's inside the siren (obviously), but the siren in my hand is GM Bosch 09 231 887. It looks like a sealed unit. It looks non-standard. The car was a UK spec car.

Any experience out there to shed some knowledge on this?

Should I just run around without a functioning alarm system?
