I just replaced my Protenzas with Michelins and see in the manual the recommended pressures are 26 psi front and 28 psi rear versus 32 psi for the other standard issue OEM treads. Is this correct, seems a little low??

    TIA

I have 19" Michelins and I run 32 lbs all around just as is the suggested air pressure for the 19's on the 430's.

The Tire Rack suggested 34 PSI in the front. On my Stradale this tire understeers alot. I am running 31 in the rear. But I am not that happy with this tire. FYI

The slowness of this site drives me crazy sometimes!

One makes an entry and it duplicates!

I guess the pressure is too high!

The label is not a mistake. Ferrari in conjunction with the tire companies test every wheel tire combination at Fiorano and establish pressures for the handling characteristics desired. Some tires are very different than other brands.

I thought the stock tire recommended pressure was 29 rear and 32 front. I thought my CS had these numbers as well? I better double check.

There was a TSB issued in 2000 that changed it to 26/28 and all later cars had that on the door label and in the Owners Man.

Thanks for the info. Is the CS still 29/32?

Ok is this for 18" or 19" also?

I am all for a softer ride.

Hello, been off for while. Michelin PS2. This tire was rated very highly on the Tire Rack. My normal pressures have been 34F and 31R. This has worked fine on Pirelli Corsa and Continental Contisport II. I added two pounds to the factory numbers for rim protection. When the Michelins did not feel very good I went back to Factory specs 32F and 29R. These are the cold pressures of course. My last run was 34F and 29R. This was slightly better for turn in response. But still not very good IMO

I have driven Angeles Crest Highway three times now with the Michelin's and as I said "I am not a fan". To me the Continentals felt way better and 99% as good as the Pirelli Corsas. Although I am going back to Pirelli when they are available again.

That was for 18's only. For 19's I would start out with the CS specs.

Does the TSB apply to all brands of tires or just the Michelins?

I have the Pirellis currently on the car.

And by the way, when should I change my timing belt? ;)

Just the Pilot Sport OE tire.

OMG, still have that old thing? Don't you know you are running on borrowed time?
