Need some input here guys please. Im no F technician just a home mechanic and have a 360 engine out of my brothers car that needs timing belts. The engine only will be presented to my local dealer for them to change belts and Tensioner bearings all parts will be supplied by myself. There saying 3-4 hours to do the job there 3-4 hrs just seems bit outa wack for me.
    Any input welcome. Thanks

Why take the engine out for a belt chane in a 360 ? And if you've managed to get the engine out and all the parts, why not just do it yourself. ?

    3-4 hours is about right.

Make sure you have good quality tensioner bearings - lots of cheap copies out there.

That doesn’t make sense taking the engine out just for belts as the access panel behind the seat gives plenty of room to change them..

Yo guys, donk was removed for other issue, replacing timing belts myself way outa comfort zone. I had a quick look online u tube etc! it don't look like a 4 hr job to me, So what's the go am i missing something here please school me. The belts the rear cam end covers have to come off so the timing marks to be lined up, pulleys are locked, belts are marked, tensioners depressed and locked old belts removed, new belts installed release the tensioners rotate by hand. Good to what it's involved maybe one day i may tackle this job. Thanks for all your advice.

If you've got the engine out I doubt very much it'd be 4 hours unless you struck something out of the ordinary but I'm sure all of the experts here have done many belt changes :rolleyes:

My brother has done hundreds of belt changes on these types of engines in circa an hour but then he KNOWS what he's doing ..... he ****s me how easy he makes it look

Belts only less than an hour but with tensioners you could add maybe another hour unless he has trouble getting them off

If he gives us his location we could point him in the right direction
